Gaudia’s foreign students can study remotely their first language as a self-taught literature A subject. That is when the school’s Finnish A teacher, Hanna Räikkönen, acts as an in-school supervisor for the process but the student must appoint an external tutor who assesses the written essays. The student pays any incurring fees caused by the use of the tutor, who typically is a teacher of the said language. Even though a student chooses a self-taught language, a choice of English A lang. & lit or English B is still compulsory.
